The jescoms.asia website, a common digital platform for Jesuit Communication in South Asia, was officially launched on 31st July 2026, the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola at the Indian Social Institute, New Delhi. The website was inaugurated by Fr. Stanislaus D’Souza, SJ, President, Jesuit Conference of South Asia (JCSA), during a short but meaningful launch ceremony attended by Bishops of Delhi Diocese, Delhi Religious, collaborators and Jesuits, gathered for the Feast Day celebration.
The launch ceremony was coordinated by Fr. Vernard Antony, SJ, JCSA Communications Coordinator, who welcomed the gathering and presented the vision and journey behind the creation of jescoms.asia. In his introductory remarks, he recalled that the idea of creating a common communication platform for South Asia first emerged during the JESCOM Annual Meeting held at Dhyan Ashram, Kolkata, in 2024. The initiative was further developed and taken forward during the JESCOM Annual Meeting held in Kozhikode in September 2025. Inspired by the Society of Jesus’s process of Reimagining and Restructuring, the participants envisioned a unified digital platform that would bring together the diverse communication ministries and media initiatives of all the Jesuit Provinces in South Asia.
Fr. Vernard explained that the website is the fruit of an extensive process of collaboration, consultation, and planning. The project was shaped through eleven online meetings with the JESCOM Executive Members, three online meetings with the JESCOM Coordinators, and four zonal-level training programmes, during which communication coordinators from across South Asia shared ideas, developed strategies, and contributed content for the platform. This collaborative effort reflected the spirit of working together as one Conference to strengthen the communication ministry of the Society of Jesus in South Asia.
Addressing the gathering on the Feast of St. Ignatius, Fr. Vernard said: “Today, as we celebrate the life and mission of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we also celebrate a new milestone in our communication ministry—the launch of jescoms.asia, a common digital platform for Jesuit Communication in South Asia. St. Ignatius always invited his companions to seek God in all things and to use every available means for the greater glory of God and the service of humanity. In our own time, digital media has become one of the most important spaces for spreading God’s love and mercy, fostering dialogue, promoting education, and accompanying people in their journey of faith. This website is our humble response to that mission, enabling us to communicate the Gospel, share our ministries, and work together more effectively as one Conference.”
Fr. Vernard then expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all those whose dedication, expertise, and collaboration made jescoms.asia a reality. He offered special thanks to Mr. Antony Glenn Gomez, who designed and developed the website and accompanied the team throughout the entire journey. Besides creating the platform, Mr. Antony Glenn Gomez patiently trained the JESCOM coordinators and executive members, providing technical guidance and ensuring that everyone was equipped to contribute effectively to the website.
He also acknowledged with deep appreciation the invaluable support of Fr. Joe Victor, SJ, Secretary for Inclusive Development of the Jesuit Conference of South Asia, whose encouragement, vision, and constant accompaniment strengthened the initiative from its very beginning. Fr. Joe Victor walked with the JESCOM coordinators throughout the process, inspiring collaboration and helping transform the dream of a common communication platform into reality.
Fr. Vernard further thanked the JESCOM Website Executive Members for their tireless commitment and meticulous attention to every aspect of the project. Through regular planning meetings, thoughtful discussions, and valuable suggestions, they carefully reviewed the website’s structure, content, design, and functionality, ensuring that every detail reflected the mission and identity of Jesuit Communication in South Asia.
He also expressed sincere appreciation to the JESCOM Coordinators from all the Jesuit Provinces of South Asia for their wholehearted support, enthusiasm, and readiness to embrace this common initiative. Their active participation, timely submission of content, and collaborative spirit were instrumental in transforming the vision of jescoms.asia into a living reality. Fr. Vernard remarked that the website is not merely a digital platform but a shared apostolic mission that embodies the unity, collaboration, and commitment of Jesuits across South Asia.
Introducing the chief guest, Fr. Vernard said that it was a great privilege and joy that jescoms.asia was being launched by Fr. Stanislaus D’Souza, SJ, President, Jesuit Conference of South Asia. He acknowledged Fr. Stany’s constant encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support for the communication ministry of the Conference and thanked him for his visionary leadership in strengthening Jesuit communication across South Asia.

The jescoms.asia website will serve as a common digital platform showcasing the ministries, news, media productions, publications, and communication initiatives of the Jesuit Provinces in South Asia. More than a website, it is a visible expression of the Conference’s commitment to the Society of Jesus’s vision of Reimagining and Restructuring, strengthening collaboration across Provinces, and using digital media creatively for the mission of evangelization, education, social justice, and the service of humanity. Inspired by the vision of St. Ignatius of Loyola, jescoms.asia stands as a beacon of unity and a shared commitment to proclaiming the Gospel in the digital age.
